Spring has sprung!

I was scheduled to go to the coast for Stephanie and Dave's engagement photo shoot but the forecast called for UGLY, wet weather so last night we decided to reschedule. As it turns out, today was GORGEOUS (until early evening when the rains began). My friend Rosemary and I went for a nice walk at Mt. Tabor and had our cameras with us. Tomorrow I'll be documenting Joy and Jonathan's wedding day - can't wait!

Restaurants, Weddings and Maternity Sessions!

Thursday I got to take photos for a really cool restaurant called Dingos (on 46th and Hawthorne). Saturday I photographed Tim and Wendy's wedding day (photos to be posted soon I promise!) and this afternoon I photographed Mary who is nine months pregnant and due next week! She LOVED my camera and my camera loved her... see for yourself!

Kristi & Steve!

Congratulations to Kristi and Steve! They were married last Saturday at the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland. Kristi and Steve are a very awesome couple with such a fun bridal party! And everything was incredibly beautiful... I was in photographer heaven! The wedding and reception were so much fun - you should have seen Steve do "the Robot!" And to my delight, adorable children abounded, begging to be photographed! Megan and Justin, the bride and groom's children, were so darn cute. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your day, Kristi and Steve... can't wait to show you the rest of your images soon! And check back soon for a slideshow of the highlights!

Congratulations Cindy and Rommel

Spent most of today working on editing Cindy and Rommel's wedding photos! Their wonderful wedding took place Feb 19th at Living Hope Fellowship and the reception was at the beautiful Tiffany Center. Blush Bridal Consultation Group did a FABULOUS job coordinating, and Show and Tell took care of the Video Production Services. It was so fun to meet and work with Dawn from Show and Tell - I hope we work together on many more events. Cindy and Rommel, it was an honor to capture your day - can't wait to show you the rest of your images! Hope you two are enjoying your new life together!!

Dental Practice Headshots, etc.

This morning I took headshots for Dr. Debi Huyssoon and her staff. Debi is a friend of ours - she and Matt (my hubby of 8 years) graduated from OHSU together last May! Matt came along with me and helped me set up the backdrop and lighting systems. I also had the privilege of taking photos at Debi's son Brayden's birth several months ago - I've posted a few of those images as well.

Lastly, I took a few photos of my cute hubby Matt today so I've got to post at least one!

Enjoy this lovely Sunday - I'm off to my friend Cindy's baby shower (I also took birth photos of Cindy's beautiful daughter Sophia a year and a half ago and schedule permitting, I'll be documenting the new baby's first moments of life in the next month or so)!

Homecoming!

Last night I photographed Crystal Hernandez's homecoming from Marine Corps boot camp! It was a very special reunion - her four brothers and their wives were at PDX when her flight arrived and they welcomed her home with open arms. Check out the proud Marine and her loving family!

Today I'm preparing for the Pottery Barn Bridal event which takes place Saturday! Here's the scoop on the event:

NW 23rd Pottery Barn's Spring Bridal Event will be held Saturday, March 4th from 9am – 11am! If you are in the process of planning a wedding don’t miss it! Several of Portland’s coolest vendors including Polly’s Cakes, Dingo’s Catering, Haute Flowers, Moonstruck Chocolatiers and Katie Jervis Photography (yeah, that’s me!) will be there to offer helpful information, samples, etc. Reservations are required and space is limited so call Pottery Barn at 503.525.0280 to make your reservation!
