The Fabulous Fletchers!

Recently had a really fun shoot with the Fletchers.... this is a very special family to me - Mike and Maryann are both SALT OF THE EARTH type of people. Mike and I used to work together at Point West Credit Union and Maryann built my website! She's awesome - if you need help building or maintaining a site, check out http://www.memorablewebpages.com/ Also, I got to photograph BOTH of their wonderful childrens' birth stories! Eli is the baby and Jasmine is the "big" sister although Eli weighs just as much as she does! They are adorable and I look forward to many more photo sessions through the years. Thanks for everything guys, enjoy your slideshow: http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/FletcherFamB/index.html

Emily, Caleb & Stella!

I recently met these three kiddos (along with their fabulous mom and grandma) for a fun shoot in the Rhododendron Gardens in SE Portlan. I fell in love with them instantly! Emily is SUCH good big sister, always there to help the others and to make 'em laugh. Caleb is silly and vivacious and adorable... and little Miss Stella - as her mom said, her name (also her grandmother's name) suits her perfectly. She is sassy, fun and loves to laugh. What wonderful children - it was a treat to photograph them! Thanks, Sultana and enjoy your slideshow: http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/JohansenFamA/index.html

The Wonderful Hernandez Family

I recently got to spend time with some of my favorite people - the Hernandez family. Syb is like a sister to me and I love her boys so much I can't stand it. I love being their "auntie." Among other things, I'm famous to the boys for my constant stash of gum. Evan (the charmer in the blue) was the first baby who's birth story I was privileged to photograph. Can't believe it was over three years ago! That was such a significant turning point for me, the official launch of my photography business, and just an awesome experience all around. And I also got to photograph little Julian's amazing birth story a little over a year ago! Love it, love this family! Just wish I was able to capture DJs birth story too... but trust me, I've taken MANY photos of him in the five years I've known him (and side note - he's THE kindest, most polite five year old I know). Oh and if you're looking for a Realtor, Dom is the BEST! Email me for his contact info. Thanks for everything guys, enjoy your slideshow! http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/HernandezFam/index.html

Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. Kim.

A few weeks back I had the luxury of photographing the stunning and oh-so-sweet Kim in her HOT, vintage inspired wedding gown. This was actually my FIRST bridal portrait session! The thought of a traditional bridal portrait session turns me way off, but as you'll see (especially if you watch the slideshow), these aren't your grandma's bridal portraits!!! Kim is marrying very lucky, very hot, very sweet sweet Adam Philips in a matter of days! I can't WAIT to photograph their day! It's actually going to be an evening, candlelit wedding held in a wine cellar - sure to be a super special evening. Seeing as the weather is unpredictable, I wanted to make SURE we got stunning images of Kim in her breathtaking gown utilizing natural light. We sure did. Kim, thanks for such a fun time and for your willingness to make my ideas come to life. You're stunning and I'm so happy to be working with you and Adam. Oh and I bet Adam's jaw will hit the floor when he sees you in your amazing gown. Enjoy your slideshow: http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/PikeBridalA/

Abigail Glenn

Doesn't that name have such a ring to it? Last week I was in Modesto visiting my wonderful family and I got to spend some time with my dear, dear friend Kerrie. Kerrie is like a sister to me - we don't see each other all that often, but when we do, we pick right up where we left off. Anyway, Kerrie's got a darling little one, Abigail. Abbey won my heart years ago, but this visit she really charmed me. What a stinking sweet, cute personality she has... I just love her. Kerrie, thanks for being such a wonderful friend - and give Abigail a hug from her Auntie in Portland. Enjoy your slideshow: http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/AbigailA/index.html

Congratulations Leah & Jesse!!

Leah & Jesse tied the knot September 3rd - a hot, sunny day with not a cloud in the sky - at Mt. Tabor Park! It was so wonderful... Theirs was a traditional Jewish ceremony with all of the very special traditions and customs.

And among other fabulous touches, Leah and Jesse's dogs (matchmakers for the couple who bonded at the dog park!) were part of the bridal party, Leah had a second, gorgeous dress for the latter part of her reception, the Kung Pow Chickens (did I spell that right?) serenaded the group with awesome live music - so many great details! This couple is madly in love and I know they are going to have a long, happy life together. Blessings Leah & Jesse, and enjoy your slideshow: http://www.katiejervis.com/slideshows/LeahJesseW/index.html
